On December 10, 2022, at the BlackRock Center for the arts in Germantown, Maryland, HGCBT celebrated the season in dance with excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol! The student dancers from Essence Studios in Poolesville danced effortlessly with our adult volunteers and professional guest performers, leaving the sold out audiences breathless with their beautiful movement!

 

Act one presented the Land of the Sweets with multiple dances, both original and with new choreography, from The Nutcracker. Act two presented a condensed version of HGCBT's holiday favorite, A Christmas Carol. The shows provided our performers and audience members with timeless experiences and wonderful memories!
