HGCBT's 2022 Spring production, "Blossoming! Fom Strong Roots Come Beautiful Blooms," was staged June 3 and 5 at the Bandshell at Whalen Commons in Poolesville, Maryland. The relaxed, outdoor venue provided a wonderful opportunity for anyone in the region to experience quality dancing by talented youth at no cost.

 

A broad audience of families, dance enthusiasts and curious onlookers enjoyed a variety of ballet and contemporary pieces danced to classical, pop, contemporary and even country music. The 75 minute program concluded with the Black Swan Grand Pas from "Swan Lake" performed by Essence Studios' graduating senior Charlotte Gularson, now a trainee at Cincinnati Ballet, and guest dancer Roland Jones, a company member in Ethan Stiefel's American Repertory Ballet in Princeton, New Jersey.
