MARCH 9TH AUDITIONS FOR
Fairy Tales in the Park, featuring CINDERELLA

AUDITIONS:
WHO: Community members must be at least 12 years of age on the day of Auditions. Dance experience is of benefit, but not required.
WHAT:  Mostly non-dancing and acting roles for the “Cinderella” portion of the show.
WHEN: Saturday, March 9th, 12 noon to 1:00pm, with check-in at 11:45am. Please be on time!
WHERE: Essence Studios, Dance & Performing Arts, 19710-E Fisher Ave, Poolesville, MD 20837
* Please register to audition with the form above by Friday, March 8th. There is no audition fee.

WHAT TO WEAR: Actors/movers should wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict their movement. The torso must be fully covered. Dance shoes if applicable, socks or bare feet. Hair must be pulled back and off the face.

Actors/Movers will be notified by email within a few days if they have been cast in the show.

REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals will be at Essence Studios in Poolesville, MD, and will be held Saturday afternoons and Wednesday evenings, beginning Saturday, March 16th. A detailed schedule per scene/dance will be provided upon casting, with designated times on Saturdays between 11:30 and 4pm, and Wednesdays between 6:30pm and 8pm. Actors/movers are allowed two (2) absences, excluding the mandatory rehearsals listed below. If an actor misses a third rehearsal or the mandatory dress-rehearsal, they will be withdrawn from the show. There will be no refund of the performance fee, as costumes and show shirts will have already been ordered.
Mandatory Dress rehearsal:
• Essence Studios: Friday, May 31st at 5pm

PERFORMANCES:

There will be two performances of the production on Sunday, June 2nd at 12:30pm and 5pm, at the Whalen Commons Bandshell in Poolesville, Maryland. Performances are Free and open to all members of the community. 

PERFORMANCE CONTRACT:

Each actor/mover and parent/guardian will be required to read and sign a performance contract. The contract will be provided to the actors upon auditioning. The contract must be signed and returned by the first rehearsal on Saturday, March 16th. The contract will provide more details on rehearsal and performance requirements. PERFORMANCE FEE:
There is a performance fee of $125 per actor/mover. The performance fee is due by Saturday, March 16. Instructions will be provided for payment. This fee funds costumes, rehearsal space, photography and videography. All participants receive a show t-shirt and professionally produced DVD.

SSL HOURS: Performers & volunteers can receive SSL hours for rehearsal time and performances. Participants must request these hours before the performance. A signed form listing the hours will be provided.
