OUR MISSION
Hope Garden Children's Ballet Theatre
Founded in 2008, Hope Garden Children’s Ballet Theatre is rooted in the idea that dance and the performing arts can give a voice and place of community to all. HGCBT offers unique access in an arts-deprived region to participate in the creation and performance of excellent dance, resulting in the production of professional-level performances. HGCBT provides these opportunities for community members of all ages and abilities, as well as all socio-economic, ethnic, and racial backgrounds. We hope to enrich the Northwestern Montgomery county region through this transformational art.
HISTORY
HGCBT was established in 2008 through the efforts of Fran Ichijo, Artistic Director of Emeritus and owner of Hope Garden Ballet Academy.
BRINGING ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE TO POOLESVILLE
HGCBT provides opportunities for Poolesville to perform in high-quality productions using excerpts from classical ballet repertoire as well as contemporary choreography residencies. We provide accessible, artistically excellent dance for our community by bringing in established choreographers and guest artists from locations such as Washington D.C., New York City, Baltimore, and more. HGCBT prides itself on its high-quality performances and aspires to grow its participants and audiences into the Northwestern Montgomery County region.
